Modern jewellery design, between heritage and innovation
As part of the scholarship programme for worthy students aimed at boosting their career opportunities in Fashion and Design, Istituto Marangoni is now partnering with Italian luxury brand BVLGARI to support one student per year during their masters course at Istituto Marangoni London.
The initiative comes in the form of a challenging contest around the theme proposed by BVLGARI: “Modern jewellery design, between heritage and innovation. How the brand evolves while maintaining its core DNA." The international call for ideas involves designing a jewellery collection able to show the Brand's links with the past and the future.
The initiative is addressed to candidates who have achieved a 2:1 or 1st class honours degree classification (or non-UK equivalent such as merit or distinction) in a relevant undergraduate course now interested in enrolling in the Masters degree course in Fine Jewellery Design starting in October 2019 at Istituto Marangoni London.
Among all the eligible applicants who submit the requested project interpretation and creative work, consisting of 15 drawings and a mood board, an Assessment Panel composed of top industry professionals as well as Istituto Marangoni and BVLGARI representatives will select one talented winner and award a scholarship for the said Masters covering 50% of tuition fee.
