Deadline May 2nd, 2018

Istituto Marangoni and Cappellini present “Tales and tables: new technologies for a new conviviality”, the fourth edition of the international design contest.

Participants will have to create a table that is inspired both by the traditional concept of conviviality and by technology, describing how these two elements can coexist in moments of social cohesion around a table. A table, made out of any kind of materials, with or without digital equipment, intended for either a or a private space.

Giulio Cappellini, architect, designer and Art Director of Istituto Marangoni, will lead a jury of professionals, including teaching executives of the School of Design as well as industry representatives including ADI founding member Antonella Andriani and Michele Lupi, director of Icon and Icon Design. The jury will evaluate the projects: the winner will be awarded a 100% scholarship offered by the Cappellini group to attend the Contemporary Furniture Design Master course (October 2018 intake) held at Istituto Marangoni’s School of Design in Milano in addition to an exclusive internship opportunity at Cappellini’s.
